Big Dreams, Little Tokyo

great title, not so great flick. Big Dreams, Little Tokyo is an okay watch w/more Japanese spoken than I thought (it's a gaijin trying to make it in Japan). not terrible.

May Movie Night

After hours of Rock Band, we kicked things off with Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus. Yes, it's as bad (or good) as the title indicates. We were our own little MST3K peanut gallery during the entire flick, which made viewing all the more fun. No way I could watch that otherwise.

Followed that with Gymkata, another silly 80s action fantasy flick starring Kurt Thomas. Hilarious stuff.

Then capped the evening with the French horror treat Martyrs. Trippy and horrific in every way. And I wanna say smart but still mulling over that one.

Night Before Movie Night

Ok, I did actually fire up a friends favorites but I'm not keen on including it since I really wasn't paying attention all that much. Won't say what it was but I'll save it for later.

And with that, Friends Favorites Month is officially over! It was a fun ride watching new things and revisiting films. So many excellent films that it almost become too overwhelming to endure the high quality of what I was watching day in and day out (honestly, I need a few shit films and enjoy said shit films, most of time). Some time I'll do the favorites thing again and open it up to more friends. Still have a long list of films I didn't get to. But overall a good experiment.
