None Set It Up

Caught up with the The Set-Up, 1949 Robert Wise film. Just terrific small film with amazing captures of emotions and faces, visceral & engaging. Another thanks to TCM.

Been a while since I've viewed Japanese nun-splotation so this was on deck: Cloistered Nun: Runa's Confession. Almost doesn't seem like '76 since so much of that fashion has come back. Not a terrible movie with a decent lesbian scene and a good twist. Masaru Konuma became known for his pinku films and this is a good example of his work. Would love to see the Sadistic and Masochistic documentary that Hideo Nakata (dir. of The Ring) did about him.
