New to DVD thanks to Synapse Films is Battle Girl: Living Dead In Tokyo Bay
(1991). This Japanese post-apocalyptic horror film certainly pre-dates those from 2000s but sadly isn't better than those more recent examples. It's not a terrible film but not very noteworthy (other than being an early example of this subgenre). 6/10- July New: 37
