Hooded and Hellacious

Was anticipating my viewing of Batman: Under the Red Hood (2010) like no other in recent times after the early buzz. Yes, this may be the best or at least one of the best animated Batman films with solid characters and enveloping mystery that strides on the supernatural. Love it. 8/10

And on the opposite end, an utter disappointment in Ricky Gervais' The Invention of Lying (2009). Not bowled over by his writing or direction here in what could've been better than average. Instead it's a meandering tale that doesn't adhere to its own rules. 4.5/10
